EdTinker with AI
"Tinkering" generally refers to making small changes to something to improve or repair it in a casual way. This process often involves working in an experimental manner.
A “tinkerer” is someone who enjoys experimenting with and repairing things. A “tinkerer” likes a more hands-on, experiential approach to understanding how things work.
Tinkering encourages learning from failures or surprises to explore towards new ideas, discoveries, and innovations.
While tinkering with pieces and parts in the physical world is very common, I think this concept can be applied to the digital world too.
Teachers can tinker with abundant online resources that are accessible everywhere. Now AI can possibly make this tinkering to create or innovate much easier, more interesting and engaging.
Imagine you find a few pieces of work that can be pruned and glued together to form a new teaching plan or assessment useful in your classroom.
I hope this space will become a community that connects like minds and shares teachers’ experience of tinkering online with AI. Contact me if you are interested in collaborating on this idea.
