Xuefeng (Leo) Huang Bio

I believe that education can make the world a better place. I also believe that learning is part of human nature and that a person at any age can be enlightened and empowered by learning. As a school teacher, I endeavour to use my knowledge, skills, and passion to inspire my students; as a school administrator and a teacher educator, I strive to encourage and facilitate individual and collective learning and development. I use research to inform my practice and appreciate different opinions and perspectives from others.

I have been working in a number of excellent educational organizations in which I learn to become a more competent teacher, a collaborative team player, and a caring leader. Over more than 27 years, I grow to be an experienced IB educator and IB school administrator. I am an IBEN member serving as IB school Evaluation Leader and IBDP Mathematics Examiner. Leo used to be the Deputy Education Director of Nord Anglia Education (China), the Executive Principal of SABS in Shanghai, and the Head of High School of Shanghai Pinghe School. I hold a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Toronto, a Master's degree in Educational Management, a postgraduate degree in mathematics pedagogy, and a bachelor's degree in mathematics pedagogy. I have been a course instructor and adjunct for the IB Teacher Certificate Program of the University of Windsor (Canada) since 2016 and a seasonal lecturer of the IB Teacher Certificate Program of the East China Normal University.
